From last night:
WIN, 7.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 10 K’s.
He lowered his ERA to 2.43 (Tying him with Cliff Lee for best in MLB).
He increased his MLB best strikeout total to 210.
He’s now 15-3 which gives him the best Winning Percentage in the NL (.833).
He should be strongly considered for the Cy Young award (which Webb will probably win).
I gotta say, as I was “watching” the game last night (from ESPN Gamecast… if you can call that watching…) I was a little ticked off that the manager kept Tim in the game for so long. He had 132 pitches in the game which in my opinion is a little much for a non-contending team at this point in the year. BUT, I’m glad in retrospect seeing how the Giants pulled it out in the end giving him the win.
Hey Freak! Come to Boston!!!
